One of the most beautiful parts of Balinese life is seeing traditions passed from one generation to the next.
In these photos, Puspa and her cousin are learning how to pray at a Balinese temple, guided by their family. In Bali, children begin learning temple etiquette, simple prayers, and the importance of showing respect from an early age.
Prayer is an important part of Balinese Hindu life. Families regularly visit temples to give thanks, ask for blessings, and participate in ceremonies that strengthen their connection with their community, ancestors, and faith.
For children, these visits are also opportunities to learn patience, gratitude, kindness, and respect. By watching parents and grandparents, they gradually understand the meaning behind each offering, prayer, and tradition.
At EBC Experience Bali Culture, we love sharing these everyday traditions with visitors. Our workshop is not a religious ceremony, but it provides a respectful introduction to Balinese culture, family life, ceremonies, and the meaning behind daily offerings.
During our 2-hour Cultural Workshop in Kuta, you’ll:

~ Wear beautiful traditional Balinese clothing.
~ Discover Balinese customs, ceremonies, temple traditions, and everyday family life.
~ Take memorable photos in our Balinese-inspired setting.

We also offer a 1-hour Balinese Offering Making Class at EBC or, where available, at your villa or hotel (travel costs may apply).
