An incredible place to immerse yourself in Balinese culture! I was completely captivated and found the experience truly fascinating. We learned so much about local religion and ceremonies, then had the chance to wear traditional clothing, enjoy Jamu (a traditional herbal drink), and even take part in a photoshoot. Later, we created ceremonial offerings using palm leaves, flowers, and greenery. It was an unforgettable and deeply enriching experience! 😘
I recently attended a Bali culture workshop, and it was an incredible experience. The instructors mbok Komang were knowledgeable and passionate about sharing their traditions, from Balinese dance to crafting. The hands on activities allowed us to truly immerse ourselves in the local culture. The setting was beautiful and serene, making it easy to focus and enjoy the learning process. I left with deeper appreciation for Balinese haritage and some wonderful memories
Towards the end of the trip, we each made our “to do list” to make sure we didn’t forget anything. This is where I found a workshop about Balinese culture that we all enjoyed.
Starting with a tasting of their morning brew, we then learned a few words in Balinese. We also know more about their traditions and religion. We were lucky enough to wear the sarung and make a canang sari, the offering to the gods they make 2x a day.
It was really interesting to know more about their lifestyle. And wow, what a welcoming and smiling people. It’s nice to feel so welcomed everywhere. Thanks again to @ebc bali culture for this share

I caught a Gojek and went to EBC. Turns out that I was the only person that had booked – they had zero customers all day!
Komang is the deadset loveliest person ever; she explained the Balinese and Hindu culture in great detail with a very informative presentation. I made from scratch an offering (finished product video on my Adventures page), as well as got dressed up in traditional clothing and had a few pictures taken. I believe that for a two hour workshop and only costing $18, it was extremely worthwhile and would give you a better insight to the lovely people on Bali

What a great cultural immersion it was! Thank you Komang. I knew quite a bit about Balinese culture already but learnt so much today. Also, loved that Komang answered all my questions and gave lots of examples from personal life. I recommend this experience for all people who want to learn more about Balinese culture and not just come here for a holiday. Coming to the Experience Bali Culture made me got to know Bali even more and in a deeper level. It gave me a broader understanding of the Balinese culture and Hinduism in Bali including the ceremonies as well. Komang is very knowledgeable on explaining to us about Bali culture. I definitely enjoyed dressing up in Kebaya and making a Canang Sari so I highly recommend coming to this place and get to know Bali in an in-depth manner.

Heard from Komang about her life growing up as well as videos of her village, then learnt how to make an offer and got to dress up. It was a great morning. We took our family of 5, with boys aged 2, 7 and 8. We had an amazing time learning about the traditions in Bali and how to make an offering. We found it very special!
I took my 8yr old and 10yr old kids with me and we learnt a lot about Balinese culture.
Komang was very informative and was happy to answer our questions.
We chose to make paper offerings so the kids could bring theirs home.
Highly recommend if you would like to know more about Balinese life.
I ended up buying my son the traditional balinese outfit because he loves it so much and didn’t want to take it off.
Teacher Komang is very patient, detailed, and knowledgeable about Balinese culture. I’m really happy to learn about making Canang Sari in this cozy environment. She shows me which color flower to place in each direction and how to place the incense in front of the Dewa Dewi offerings. Our teacher can speak both Bahasa Indonesia and English.😉
I was happy to use the traditional knife to slice the leaves into fun shapes and staple them into Canang Sari. I also learned that ancient Balinese people used bamboo lidi to link all the leaves together. The offering will include at least 10 Canang Sari in the morning.
We can see that Balinese people are very loyal and dedicated to Hinduism, performing offerings like this repeatedly, every day. May the Dewa Dewi continue to bless my teacher Komang, her family, and the kind Balinese people.
We took our kids for a 2 hour workshop so that we could all learn more about Balinese culture on our holiday. It was such a great experience for adults and kids. We learnt about the local culture and traditions, tried on traditional Balinese clothes and got to make an offering and paper flowers. Highly recommend!

I have just spent a wonderful afternoon with EBC Experience Bali Culture. The session was so informative. I have been to Bali many times, but I learnt so much more today. Komang has created a very interesting program touching on so many aspects of Balinese life. Her English is excellent and she was so willing to answer questions and explain practices.

I had the absolute pleasure of meeting Komang and Chris today and enjoyed learning about some of the Balinese culture. Komang and Chris are such lovely hosts and shared their experiences making this an interesting and enjoyable session.
Making the offering baskets and learning what and where each offering needs to be placed in the basket has given me a greater understanding and respect for their tradition. I now know why temples have checked cloth around them.
I would recommend this experience to anyone interested in learning more of the Balinese culture.

What a fantastic morning spent learning some of the Bali culture we have been to Bali many times .

This was a great afternoon for myself and my two children to learn about Balinese culture, dress in traditional clothes and make offerings.
They have a children’s play area set up right next to where we were sitting so my two year old was entertained the whole time and I could sit and listen without needing to worry about him.
We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

We recently visited EBC after seeing a couple of posts on FB. – So glad we did! Komang and Kris are such lovely people who are great with young kids and who have only just started up the business.
We learnt about their village up north near Mount Arung and what there family do for work. We watched everal small videos of their traditional ceremonies, work and around their village. They also taught us about the spirits, demons and ghosts and the things they do to keep them away. We got to dress in Balinese traditional clothing which the kids absolutely loved and made 2 types of offerings. One made of coconut and banana leaves with flowers and one of paper which again the kids really loved. This was especially great as the kids had seen the offerings around the streets and resorts. They also made us a traditional drink, made us a prayer bracelet and gave us a gift.
EBC is located in Kuta in a modern air-conditioned shop and takes around 2 hours.
Really recommend doing this as it was so great to actually learn and be apart of the culture.

A must when visiting Bali

I heard about this brand new business called: Experience Bali Culture through a social media post, and I instantly was interested.
Tnis business is situated in Kuta, in the quiet part of town. I was given the warmest welcome by Komang and Kris, who’s love and dedication to country is a real eye opener. I signed up for this workshop towords the end of my journey but they filled me in on such a wealth of information, I kinda wish that joining them would have been the first experience when visiting Bali. There is so much tradition and ceremony woven into day to day life on the island, and being explained from an authentic point of view and getting a glimpse of what it can be like growing up here, was really special. We were shown a short series of video’s, taught some Bali phrases and slang, then dressing up in the traditional ceremony outfits, which was heaps of fun. While being dressed and after a little photoshoot (great holiday pictures indeed) Komang gave us the insides on making the beautiful Bali offerings, that you’ve all seen on the streets, in the temples and in front of shops and houses. This crafting of two styles of offerings, filled with flowers and all made from palm, banana and plant-material made my heart sing with joy! Kris filmed step by step how we made them and shared it with me, so if I want to make them at home, I know how too. And instead of plant material these can easily also be made out of paper. I can highly recommend signing up for this experience, tell your friends, bring your family and tell your fellow travelers. This is an experience that can’t be missed, and essential if you would like to have a much more meaningful holiday, that reaches far beyond the shopping and spa experiences we all love and are blessed to have had. Respect traditions and see that what you learned can be put into practice. Then watch the magic unfold as you dive deeper into Bali, and have a truly wonderful and blessed experience. Experience Bali Culture was in a great spot around Kuta, very clean studio. They had a dedicated play area for younger kids which our 3 year old daughter loved. We participated in craft activities of offerings, learnt about life in the village, and did a mini photoshoot with traditional outfits. We have been to Bali several times but this was something different to learn about the culture, loved it! ❤️
