In Balinese Hindu culture, twins are often regarded as having a unique spiritual connection. Some Balinese families have a special family temple dedicated to twins, where ceremonies are held to honour their lives and maintain harmony between the family, ancestors and the spiritual world.
Kris’s own family has this wonderful tradition. His uncle is a twin, and because of this, their family has a temple connected with these special beliefs. Every 210 days (approximately every six months according to the Balinese Pawukon calendar), ceremonies are held with offerings and prayers to honour this important family tradition.
These ceremonies are not tourist attractions—they are genuine family customs that have been passed down through generations.
