Meet Komang & Kris – The Heart Behind EBC Experience Bali Culture

At EBC Experience Bali Culture, everything we share comes from real life, real traditions, and real family stories.

Our Story

I’m Komang, and together with my husband Kris, we created EBC to share the beauty of Balinese Hindu culture in a way that is simple, respectful, and meaningful.

We both grew up in small mountain villages in North Bali, near the sacred Mount Agung. Life there is quiet, traditional, and deeply connected to nature and spirituality — very different from the busy tourist areas many visitors see today.

From a young age, we learned the importance of family, community, and ceremony. These values are still a big part of our daily lives.

A Journey of Determination

Education was not always easy to access in our village. As a child, I walked long distances each day to attend school and was determined to continue learning, even during challenging times.

Both Kris and I are proud to have completed our education — something that is still not always common in rural areas.

Kris is also a dedicated athlete, trained in Silat (traditional Indonesian martial arts), and became a Champion of Bali and East Java in 2020.

Our Family

We are now a family with our beautiful daughter, Puspa, who loves learning, staying active, and taking part in Balinese traditions. Like many children in Bali, she is growing up surrounded by ceremonies, culture, and community.

We are also excited to be welcoming another baby soon, making our family even more special.
